DentMio - Adaptive decision support system development to support advanced health care services by information technology
Name of the consortium-leading company:
UK Dent Ltd.
Project duration:
2013-2014
Goal of the project:
In health care, there is a growing domestic demand for advanced services, which provide continuous health monitoring and care. One of the main aspects of the New Széchenyi Plan is the development of patient tourism services. Intelligent services based on information and communication technologies can greatly contribute to the development and retention of regular reviews, health preservation, and internationally distributed domestic health services.
Predictability is essential for patients. It can be supported by making the planned interventions predictable and controllable (statuses, current state). The continuous control ensures the fulfillment of doctor-patient appointments (calendars, reminders).
The project plans to enhance the quality of advanced services with four IT solutions. The first is the supervision of compliance with treatment protocols. The second is community-based opinion sharing for measuring patient satisfaction (Internet voting, commenting). The third is analysis of patient journey, which can reveal the success of the planned treatment protocols for the patient and the doctor. Finally, decision support based on proposed protocols and feedbacks could make visible the long-term medical and financial consequences of the interventions for both doctors and patients.
