Dear Students!
The John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics at Óbuda University announces a competition, where we await your creations!

We hope that the „Augmented reality” title has captured the imagination of many. Those who don’t know what we are talking about may read more about it here. The aim of the competition is that you designate your artwork in the category (3D object, video, picture) that is most appealing for you, and we implement the creations of the winners in the virtual reality. Apart from this the bests will receive an extra award, but this would be a surprise.

Rules:
The topic of the competition is the university, so please send artworks regarding it. Don’t worry, this topic is broad enough, we accept almost anything that is related to the school. For example: the university logo in 3D, the portraits and/or 3D models of the faculty eponyms or even modelling the whole building.

One person may participate in more categories, but he or she may only designate a maximum of 3 artworks in each category.

In every category we need an extra picture, which we would use as a marker for the display. We insist it to be your own work, but we accept free pictures from the internet as well, if those don’t contain any protected material, but you may use simple landscapes. It is not allowed to delete the watermark from the protected pictures, we want to rate your work, not others! They should be at least A4 size!

In the 3D object category we expect to get .obj, .fbx, .dae, .md2, .mfbx and .max files, maybe even an attached picture to make it easier to watch. If you work in 3ds Max, please attach the .max file as well, to make it easier to save the models in other formats if necessary. It is very important, that you attach the necessary files for example textures or in case of .obj formats the MTL file, etc.
In case of pictures, the artworks should be computer graphics, not just a plain photo. Drawing could be a good idea. For example you may have a black-and-white version of the drawing as the marker picture, and the mobile/tablet would display the colour image.
We accept YouTube links as well, as long as they feature videos made by you, and they shouldn’t be just simple home-made videos, but a creation of your fantasy and of course your computer.
If you don’t write precise personal data (name, e-mail address, phone number) to help us reach you, we cannot inform the winners
We hope this is evident: the artworks should be made within the boundaries of good taste, and shouldn’t offend others!

Please send your works with your personal data (name, e-mail address, phone number) to the following address:
Submission deadline: 8 February 2013
Good luck and have fun!
